E-news Dec. 14 2018

Our New Year’s practice will be held on Thursday, Jan. 3, 7-8 pm. There will be a short reception in the dojo afterward, to welcome in the New Year. Please plan on joining us… New Year’s class is an important one in the Aikido tradition and an opportunity to get your year’s training off to a good start.

January cancellations: in favour of the holiday, there will be no classes Jan. 1 or 2. As previously mentioned, there will be no classes Dec. 24, 25 or 31.

The tentative dates for the Examination Committee seminar are April 27-28. The venue is the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre in Don Mills. There will be senior testing at this seminar. More information should be available shortly.

Clyde Takeguchi shihan will teach a seminar at Aikido Shugyo Jan. 26-27. (Classes in our dojo will beheld as usual that weekend.)

We have received a supply of CAF membership cards. If you want one, let us know. They are mainly useful as ID if you plan to train at a dojo in another country as a guest.

Sunday practice…

We took some photographs during practice recently… they are posted on Flickr.

Enjoy the holiday season with your family and friends. Yumi-sensei and I will see you after Christmas!
