Yumi-sensei and I would like to offer our best wishes to all members and friends of Aikido Hokuryukai for a joyful, healthy and prosperous 2019!

A few notes on coming events:

Thurs. Jan. 3, 7-8 PM, will be our New Year’s class. This is an important class in Aikido culture, representing an opportunity to rededicate ourselves to training and start the year off with enthusiasm and energy. There will be a short reception with some drinks and snacks afterwards.

Thurs., Jan. 24, we will have some kyu tests in the dojo during the regular class. Be sure to attend to support your fellow students.

Sat., Jan. 26, is the date for our annual winter party. Aubrie is our host again this year. Save the date..  more information will be available very soon.

Clyde Takeguchi shihan will teach a seminar at Aikido Shugyo Jan. 26-27. (Classes in our dojo will be held as usual that weekend.)

The Examination Committee seminar will be held April 27-28. The venue is the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre in Don Mills. All levels should attend. There will be black belt testing at this seminar. More information should be available very shortly.
